Well Regulated Militia Mission

Mission Statement

Well Regulated Militia (WRM) is a public, non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. WRM believes in the freedom and liberty of the individual, and that the Creator gives them unalienable rights as emphasized in our initial founding document, the U.S. Declaration of Independence. WRM is dedicated to education and promotion of freedom, liberty, and rights under the U.S. Constitution. The organization name implies that we, as a country, are together a well-regulated militia, and only we together, can ensure our liberty, rights and freedoms, provided by the Creator, are being protected.

WRM's mission is to teach as many people as possible about their rights. The name suggests education of the Second Amendment, but that amendment is the power behind protecting all of the other rights in the other amendments, as well as in the main body of the U.S. Constitution, from tyranny.

Tyranny, the absence of freedom, can take many forms. The federal government can run roughshod over our rights by passing laws that trample or subtlely abridge them. A few cycles of abridging rights leads to losing them altogether -- like that metaphor about that frog who stays in the pot when the heat is gradually turned up. Tyranny can also occur when good people do nothing to fight for their rights.
